4 eggs 1/4 cup milk 2 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 tablespoons butter 8 slices of challah, brioche, or white bread 1/2 cup maple syrup, warmed
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Dip bread slices into the egg mixture, allowing bread to soak up some of the mixture.
Place the bread slices onto the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Repeat with remaining bread slices.
Serve hot with butter and maple syrup.
