1 loaf Italian or French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes 8 large eggs 2 cups milk 1 cup heavy cream 1⁄2 cup sugar 2 tablespoons vanilla extract 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
Place the bread cubes evenly into the prepared baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt until thoroughly combined.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread, making sure all the bread is soaked. Gently press on the bread to help it soak up the liquid if needed.
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350°F.
Remove plastic wrap and bake for 40-45 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
